Weekend 4 of the annual Cougar Cup is presented by the host Gloucester Minor Hockey Association and will be headquartered at the state-of-the-art Richcraft Sensplex, where parents can enjoy the action from the comfort of The Puck Stop Restaurant above above three of our four ice surfaces. The event will be facilitated by the same experienced staff as tournaments at the Bell Sensplex, whose tournaments, year after year, feature some of the best and most diverse competition available at the house league level, regularly featuring an extensive waiting list at many divisions. Apply now to guarantee your team the best opportunity for acceptance.
This year’s U9 event will run as a jamboree with half ice scrimmages, as mandated by Hockey Canada. Each team will be on the ice four times, with the breakdown as below:
U9 Tier 2 – 2 half-ice scrimmages and 2 skills competitions
U9 Tier 4 – 3 half-ice scrimmages and 1 skills competition

- Prizing awarded to Champions & Finalists / Prizing awarded to winners of skills competitions for jamboree participants
- A FOUR ice-time minimum for U9 teams

The Richcraft Sensplex is the headquarters for this tournament, however teams may play games at other local facilities.
Teams MUST be prepared to play as early as Friday, February 16th at 8:00 a.m.
