Dunlop’s Cup

Players / Rosters:
1) Players: All Tournament players must be listed on your first game sheet. The official USA Hockey Roster
must be submitted a week prior to the Tournament start date.
2) Roster Size: A maximum of 20 players may be registered.
3) Each Team must be prepared to furnish proof of age for any of its players upon the Tournament
director’s request. Failure to do so will mean the expulsion of that Player from the Tournament until
such proof can be shown.
4) No Player is permitted to play on different teams in the same division.
5) No Protests will be accepted!
6) A Player must participate in at least 2 (two) games during the round robin portion of the Tournament
to be eligible for the playoff round.

Game & Playing Rules:
1) All teams are guaranteed 4 games.
3) All Games will be 13, 13, 15-minute periods.
6) Scoring: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.
7) There will be NO overtime in the Round Robin portion of the Tournament.
8) Time-outs: No time-outs allowed except in finals, where only one time-out will be allowed per team.
9) Mercy Rule: If, by or at any time during the third period, one Team is ahead by 6 goals or more, running time will commence and will not revert.
10) Penalty Box: Each Team may provide a penalty box attendant during each game. All attendees should be certified as per USA Hockey requirements.
11) Ice Resurface: The ice will be resurfaced after each game.
12) Game Time: All teams must be ready to start games as early as 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start times. Tournament officials will notify teams accordingly when teams report for games.
13) Behavior: Coaches and Managers are responsible for controlling their players and parents to ensure that each game is played safely, with no vulgar language or harmful infractions displayed. Team Hockey Management is responsible for any damages caused by their children to the Arena facility. Unruly fans will be ejected from the facility for the remainder of the Tournament.
14) Liability waiver: The Tournament will not be responsible for injuries to a Player, coach, or spectator, or the transport of injured players. It is the Team’s and parents’ responsibility to ensure that all of your players are covered by insurance prior to the Tournament.
15) Disputes: The Tournament Director and/or the Tournament Head Referee can waive any rule and make any final decisions, as necessary.

Divisional Tie Breakers
1) Most Games Won
2) Head-to-Head
3) Goal Differential: Goal differential will be maxed at 6 goals for tie-breakers
4) Fewest goals allowed
5) Most goals for
6) If the two teams are still tied after all the above are applied, a single coin toss will determine which Team gains the higher position.

Semi-Finals / Tie Breakers
1) One, Five-minute sudden death period, 3 on 3 with Goaltender 4) Shoot-Out, three penalty shots for each Team, if the tie persists, one penalty shot each until a winner is determined. No Player can shoot twice until all players have gone.
