At MYHockey Tournaments, our goal is to place teams in divisions that most closely match your team’s age and skill level. This goal is harder because age divisions and skill classifications vary by state and between the US and Canada. Your team may play teams that are slightly older or younger than those in your home playing area, or that have a different skill-level designation (AA, A, B, AE, etc.).
Age groups for teams in the US and Canada are largely the same; however, areas with larger player populations, Ontario, Michigan, and Western New York, for example, separate major and minor-aged players within the age group. When evaluating placement, we look at a team’s age makeup first.
Registration fees default to the full price for local teams. Out-of-town teams under our Stay-to-Play policy are eligible for discounts based on how many events they play with us during the current season.
