The Tournament begins on Friday for all divisions.
Hotel Policy: Our tournaments are Stay-2-Play. All out-of-town teams MUST stay at Grinder Hockey tournament-approved hotels. We will provide teams with ‘approved’ booking links.
Divisions
Division sizing/placement begins 4-6 weeks before each event. Your final division placement may differ from your original selection based on available/historical game data.

Grinder Hockey LLC originated with the Detroit Spring “GRINDER” Tournament of 2012. With the success of the Spring Grinder, we slowly expanded our portfolio of Hockey tournaments over the years. Today, we offer many fun & exciting tournaments across Buffalo, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit & Grand Rapids, MI. We are well known for our large-scale AAU Hockey tournaments, creative Hockey Tournament artwork, pucks, Grinder Merchandise, and, of course, our friendly family customer service.
The NAME, “Grinder Hockey,” comes from the Hockey terminology of a “Grinder”. The type of teammate who is the Team’s hard-working, blue-collar Player. A key pillar of every championship Team. Of course, many of us here in Hockeytown remember the famous ‘Grind Line’ of the Detroit Red Wings. In addition, Detroit is well known for its hard-working blue-collar workforce.
And so our name – Grinder Hockey was born.
