Welcome to Grand Rapids aka Beer City USA, every beer league hockey player’s dream come to life. Home to numerous breweries and beer bars, hence the nickname. The Beer City Ale Trail boasts 80+ breweries – that’s more incredible craft beer per square mile than just about anywhere else on earth. It’s a city where small-scale experimental home brewers taste and tinker right alongside master brewers from some of the nation’s most acclaimed names in beer. Not into beer, no worries there are plenty of restaurants, golf courses, indoor and outdoor activities to keep you busy while away from the rink. 

Patterson Ice Arena plays host to the tournament. A beautiful facility celebrating its 25th year in business while maintaining the quality to make it home to all the area’s top programs. As far as the competition goes – it’s Michigan and there are teams of every level. The location is also a draw for teams from Illinois, Indiana and Ohio to name a few.
