EVERY Player must be registered with USA Hockey. A Number is required to register for the combine.
You may retrieve or register for your Number at membership.usahockey.com.

What Takes Place at the NAHL Combines

Players will be assigned to a Team and receive a weekend schedule 24 hours prior to the combine. From there, each Team will play four scrimmages, with NAHL and NA3HL coaches working with the players behind the bench. The players’ introduction to junior Hockey will continue through educational seminars for both combine participants and their families.

Junior hockey experience through four scrimmage games with coaching from NAHL and NA3HL staff members
Evaluation from NAHL Central Scouting, as well as NAHL & NA3HL teams, as players meet and build relationships with junior teams and coaches

In-Person educational seminars about the junior Hockey landscape, including:
USA Hockey/NAHL partnership and the path to college Hockey in the U.S. along the NAHL Ladder of Development

Academic preparation and NCAA compliance seminars
Finding the Right NAHL Combine for You

The NAHL offers two combines: the Prospects Combine (2008-2010) for future Prospects of the NAHL, and the Junior Combine for junior-aged (2004-2008) players seeking scouting exposure from all NAHL and NA3HL teams.

Prospects (2008-2010)
Players who are 2+ years away from junior Hockey
Educate players on USA Hockey’s proven pathway to the NCAA through the junior Hockey path to junior and collegiate hockey as they enter high school

Exposure to scouts from all levels, while given the opportunity to receive feedback from bench coaches
Provide a realistic experience of a junior tryout

All ages will be on the ice at the same time
2008s: Register for the Prospect Combine to play against players in your own age group
Junior (2004-2008)

Players looking to play junior Hockey next season
Maximize scouting exposure to NAHL and NA3HL teams for players looking to play junior hockey in the near future
Continue education about the proven pathway to NCAA hockey via the NAHL’s Ladder of Development

Provide an experience that will help the player’s next steps in pursuit of playing junior hockey
2008: Register for the junior combine if you plan to play junior Hockey within the next 2 seasons and want to play against older players
