Again we stop in the Bluegrass State’s largest city and the home of horse racing’s premier event the Kentucky Derby. Well summer has come and the Derby may be done but it’s still easy to say it would be a worthwhile trip to check out Churchill Downs during any of your time away from the rink. Not interested in horse racing? It’s OK, there’s much more to do in this city on the banks of the Ohio; remember it is the Bourbon Capital of the World. From a zip line through Mega Cavern to the Louisville Slugger Field, Factory and Museum. You can check out indoor go carts at Bluegrass Karting or take a tour of the haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Take in the nightlife at Stevie Ray’s Blues Bar or see the sights of Old Louisville; there’s something for everyone.
