The 200×85 CCM Shootout consists of five (5) games guaranteed for all teams. Most games are played at the University of Notre Dame, home of the Fighting Irish, at the Compton Family Ice Arena on the University of Notre Dame campus.

Opened in October 2011, the Compton Family Ice Arena anchors the south edge of campus, adjacent to the Joyce Center and west of the Irish track and field facility.

The state-of-the-art Arena features two ice rinks, boasting an eye-catching, barrel-vaulted roof and bow trusses. The main Arena has two levels, with a combined capacity of 5,000, featuring a majority of comfortable, chair-back-style seats.
