Kick off the season in style at the Chicago Icebreaker, a premier early-season hockey tournament set in one of the best hockey towns in America. Designed as the perfect tune-up for the long season ahead, this event brings together high-level teams from across the country for a weekend of fast-paced, competitive hockey.
The Chicago Icebreaker allows players and teams to hit the ice early, build chemistry, and test themselves against well-matched competition. It’s the ideal way to set the tone for a successful season.
Off the ice, teams and families can experience everything Chicago has to offer—from iconic attractions like Millennium Park and Navy Pier, to incredible dining, shopping, and entertainment throughout the city.

All teams must be prepared to play at 8 a.m. on the first day of the event, and all play is scheduled to end by 4 p.m. on the last day.
Please note that the schedule will be released 7-10 days prior to the event start date.
