Biscuit Snatcher Pond Hockey Tourney
Join us at Chapman Hill ice rink as we transform it into two pond hockey-style rinks! This will be a full day full of pond style hockey with three divisions (A, B & C). This will fill up fast as we can only accommodate four teams per division.

About The Event

Pond hockey is a simplified version of ice hockey that’s played on frozen bodies of water. Basic rules include:
Players: Players must wear helmets, skates, shin gards & gloves. All protective equipment is recommended.
Jerseys: Teams must have light and dark jerseys.
Goalies: There are no goalies, goalie equipment, or goalie sticks. You can not defend the goal as a goalie.
Shots: Slapshots, snapshots, and wrist shots are not allowed. Nothing above the ankles.
Checking: Checking is not allowed. This is NON contact, take it easy.
Pucks: If a puck goes out of bounds, the last team to touch it loses possession.
Penalties: Major penalties, such as actions that could injure another player, result in ejection from the tournament. There are no refs only rink monitors, the clock will not stop, puck possession changes due to the result of a penalty.
Scoring: No refs, only rink monitors who will attempt to track all goals scored. teams must track their scoring as well.
Rink monitors: Rink monitors will record the score after each game and enforce rules. Please report game scores to the rink monitor.
Game start: Home team will start with the puck.
Game length: The game is (1) 20 minute run clock, don’t waste anytime!
Turnovers: when puck possession is given for out of bounds, penalties, scoring etc. the opossing team must give half the ice until the team with possession begins advancing the puck.
