Spectator Viewing

The fixed spectator areas provide close views of the ice. MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub is positioned on the second floor between the two rinks and has viewing windows overlooking both ice surfaces. This can be useful for parents eating a meal while keeping track of tournament activity.

The rink areas are cold even when Las Vegas temperatures are extremely hot. City National Arena recommends a heavy jacket, gloves, long pants and socks extending above the ankle for public skating. Tournament spectators should also dress in layers.

Golden Knights Practices

One of the facility’s most distinctive features is the possibility of watching the Vegas Golden Knights practise.

During the 2026 season and playoffs, the club stated that Golden Knights practices and morning skates at City National Arena were free and open to the public. Tournament Parking Strategy

For ordinary tournament games, the primary lots across from the arena should be the first choice.

For an important game, Golden Knights practice, baseball event or weekend with several overlapping activities:

2. Unload players and equipment only where stopping is permitted.
3. Do not assume that nearby retail parking can be used for the arena.

Entering the Arena

These hours make it useful for lunch, dinner and team meals, but it may not solve the coffee or breakfast problem for very early tournament games.

Coffee and Early-Morning Food

The official arena material does not publish separate hours for a dedicated coffee shop inside City National Arena. Because MacKenzie River opens at 11:00 a.m., families attending early games should not depend on the restaurant for breakfast or early coffee.

City National Arena offers open skating, but sessions must be selected from the current arena calendar.

Downtown Summerlin
