Welcome to FLYING RUBBER™
If you’ve spent enough weekends at Hockey tournaments, you know some of the funniest moments happen before the puck drops, after the final whistle, or somewhere between the hotel and the arena.
FLYING RUBBER™ is a digital Hockey comic series published by The Hockey Tournament Resource™. Every week we share a funny illustrated story inspired by the experiences of Hockey families, Players, Coaches, Grandparents, Referees, and tournament organizers.
You Couldn’t Make Some of This Stuff Up!
Ever driven six hours to a tournament only to face a Team from your own neighborhood? Arrived at the wrong arena? Watched Parents scramble to understand three pages of playoff tiebreaker rules in the third period? Or tried to find a grandchild’s playoff game when nobody called with the schedule?
These situations have happened at Hockey tournaments. Our comics draw from real experiences, with characters and dialogue sometimes fictionalized for entertainment and privacy.
A New Comic Every Thursday
Our goal is to publish a complete digital comic each Thursday, usually around 12 illustrated panels, ready to enjoy on a phone, tablet, or computer. No printing and no monthly compilation. Read it between games, while waiting at the rink, or back at the tournament hotel.
