Below are the charities we will focus on to start the Hockey Perspective project
Not every child gets the chance to play hockey.

Some children are fighting illnesses.
Some families are facing challenges that few can imagine.
Some children are simply hoping for the opportunity to get back on the ice.
Hockey Perspective™ was created to highlight organizations that help children, families, and communities overcome those challenges and pursue opportunities many of us take for granted.
Because hockey is more than a game.
It is a community.
And communities help each other. ❤️🏒
❤️ SickKids Foundation
For many Canadian families, SickKids represents hope during some of life’s most difficult moments. Every day, children and their families face challenges far greater than a hockey game. Through world-class pediatric care, research, and treatment, SickKids helps children focus on what matters most — being kids. Hockey Perspective™ is proud to highlight an organization that has touched the lives of countless hockey families across Canada.
❤️ St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude has become a symbol of hope for families facing childhood illnesses across the United States. Through groundbreaking research and patient care, St. Jude helps children fight battles that no child should ever have to face. Hockey teaches courage, determination, and resilience — qualities demonstrated every day by the children and families supported by St. Jude.
❤️ Ronald McDonald House Charities
When a child requires medical treatment far from home, families often face emotional and financial challenges. Ronald McDonald House provides a place for families to stay together during those difficult times. For many hockey families, being together is what makes the journey possible, and Ronald McDonald House helps families remain close when they need each other most.
❤️ Hockey Helps The Homeless
Hockey Helps The Homeless uses the game we love to create positive change in communities across Canada. Through hockey events, fundraising, and awareness initiatives, the organization supports programs helping individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives. It is a powerful example of hockey being used for something bigger than the scoreboard.
❤️ Special Olympics
Every athlete deserves the opportunity to participate, compete, and belong. Special Olympics provides sports opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities while creating inclusive communities built around confidence, friendship, and achievement. Their athletes remind us that the true spirit of sport is participation, perseverance, and joy.
❤️ Easter Seals Canada
Easter Seals helps children and youth with physical disabilities gain access to programs, equipment, and opportunities that improve their quality of life. Their work helps ensure that more children can participate in activities, sports, and experiences that many others take for granted.
❤️ Disabled Sports USA
Disabled Sports USA helps children and adults with disabilities experience the benefits of sport and recreation. Their adaptive programs demonstrate that determination, courage, and passion for sport have no limits. Many participants discover confidence and independence through opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable.
❤️ Hockey Family Stories
One of the most important parts of Hockey Perspective™ will be the stories shared by hockey families themselves. Many people support charities because of a personal experience that changed their lives. Through Hockey Perspective™, The Hockey Resource will provide a platform for hockey families to share those stories, inspire others, and help shine a light on organizations making a difference every day.
