Battle on the Border Tournament Rules

The tournament director reserves the right to make any decisions regarding tournament rules, clarifications, format, etc. for the overall good of the event.
General Rules
- Teams guaranteed a minimum of three games.
- All teams must be ready fifteen minutes prior to their scheduled game time, games can start early.
- The manager or coach from each team should check in at the table in the lobby no earlier than 45 minutes before game time. Each team is responsible for completing the game scoresheet roster for their team. Scoresheets will stay at check-in so they are available for our scorekeepers at game time. Copies of the scoresheet will be available at this same table, after the game.
- Each team will need to provide a volunteer to work their penalty box.
- All teams have a 3 minute warm-up period.
- All minor penalties are two minutes. Any called game misconducts against a player/coach during the tournament will be enforced.
- The home team will wear a light-colored jersey. Away teams will wear dark-colored jerseys.
- Only coaches can present disputes to an official of the tournament.
- No more than a six point differential will be displayed on the scoreboard.
- One timeout will be allowed, but only during the Championship game.
- Each team is responsible for leaving the locker rooms clean and in good condition.
**If a team leads by 5 or more goals in the third period, play will continue with a running clock. Stop time resumes any time the goal differential changes to less than 5 goals.
