The 200×85 CCM Shootout consists of five (5) games guaranteed for all teams. The majority of games are played at the University of Notre Dame, home of the Fighting Irish, at the Compton Family Ice Arena on campus. Opened in October 2011, the Compton Family Ice Arena anchors the south edge of campus, adjacent to the Joyce Center and west of the Irish track and field facility. The state-of-the-art Arena houses two ice rinks with its eye-catching, barrel-vaulted roof and bow trusses. The main Arena has two levels, with a capacity of 5,000 – both seated and standing room combined – and the majority of the seats are comfortable, chair-back style.
