The 19th Annual edition of the Capital Fall Classic presented by the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven will be headquartered at the state-of-the-art Bell Sensplex, where parents can enjoy the action from the comfort of Centre Ice Bar & Restaurant above two of our four ice surfaces. Year after year this tournament features some of the best and most diverse competition available at the AA (tier II) tournament level, regularly featuring an extensive waiting list at many divisions. Apply now to guarantee your team the best opportunity for acceptance.

The Capital Fall Classic is pleased to guarantee a four-game minimum for all teams and aims to provide teams with their best tournament experience of the season!

U9 teams will play three half-ice scrimmage style games per Hockey Canada’s implementation guide, played in hour-long gameblocks, with no score kept. Novice teams will also participate in two, hour-long competitive skills competitions. Overall skills competition winners will receive our incredible Sensplex signature medals and trophies. While HC guidelines do not permit scores to be kept in games, our competitive skills competitions will featuring a scoring system and several events designed to reward exceptional skills, compete levels, and scoring ability.

All U9 scrimmages will be played on surfaces separated by professional rinkboard stlye dividers, ideally suited to turn one NHL-sized surface into two.

The Bell Sensplex is the headquarters for this tournament; however teams may play games at other local facilities.

Hotel Accommodations

Hudson Travel Group is the exclusive travel partner for all tournaments hosted by the Bell Sensplex. Booking with them is a mandatory condition of acceptance for all out of town teams. Ottawa Senators Tickets

The Senators are playing at home on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 vs. Seattle Kraken at 7:00pm. If your team would like to purchase tickets, you will need to reach out to Shannon Jones, who is the Account Manager, Premium & Group Sales Manager for the Senators. Our Tournament Manager will do his best to accommodate teams in the tournament schedule that purchase Senators tickets through Shannon.

COST

U9 (2016) Tier 1: $1,830 (tax included)

U11 (2014): $2,040 (tax included)

U13 (2012): $2,040 (tax included)

U15 (2010): $2,180 (tax included)

U18 (2007/2008): $2,320 (tax included)

Format:

Teams will play a minimum of four games, followed by playoff rounds for those who qualify.
Period Lengths: U11: 3 x 12 min stop time; U13 & U15: 2 x 12, 1 x 15 min stop time; U18: 1 x 12, 2 x 15 min stop time plus a flood. Body checking will be permitted at the U14 levels and up.

Teams must be prepared to play as early as 8:00am on Friday, November 1st.
