Hockey with Heart Tournament
ANGUS GLEN ARENA

Building a stronger community together. Our objective is to support and enhance our community. We envision ourselves as catalysts for goodwill and kindness within the Unionville and Markham area. Through our dedicated efforts, we champion the UMHC membership, orchestrating and galvanizing support for a wide range of essential projects and initiatives that benefit our local community and the special people who live here. All net proceeds from the Hockey With Heart Tournament will support 360°kids and Blue Door, who support those experiencing homelessness in our community through specialized services, programs, and partnerships.

#thisgamematters

At Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH), we leverage Canada’s affinity for Hockey to raise awareness and financial support for the homeless through education, fundraising, and partnerships with solution-based local homeless support agencies.

We believe that every Canadian should have a safe place to call home and the support that they need to thrive. To ensure all homeless and at-risk Canadians have a fighting chance, we host Pro-Am Hockey tournaments across Canada where players raise funds to make a direct impact in their own community.

HOW WE REACHED THE HOCKEY ANSWER™

At The Hockey Tournament Resource™, we believe Hockey families, Players, Coaches and Officials deserve more than opinions. They deserve answers supported by research, experience and practical understanding of the game.

Every question begins with something Hockey people genuinely want to know.

OUR RESEARCH PROCESS

  1. WE FIND REAL QUESTIONS. We investigate what Hockey Players, Parents, Coaches and Officials are asking and searching for.
  2. WE SEARCH THE WORLD FOR ANSWERS. We examine relevant Hockey knowledge, coaching practices, available research and expert perspectives from around the world.
  3. WE COMPARE THE EVIDENCE. We look beyond individual opinions, consider different approaches and identify where the strongest available evidence points.
  4. WE APPLY REAL HOCKEY EXPERIENCE. We consider how the findings apply to actual Hockey situations, including different ages, skill levels and stages of development.
  5. WE DELIVER A PRACTICAL ANSWER. We explain what our research suggests, why it matters and what Hockey people can do with that information.

We recognize that not every Hockey question has one perfect answer. Age, ability, experience and individual circumstances can change what works best.

Our commitment is to provide thoughtful, practical answers while being clear about what the evidence supports and where uncertainty remains.
